Electronics condition grading
For electronics, condition is often a combination of function, wear, and visible signs of use. Here is what the levels usually mean in practice.
Like new
Feels like a new product with full function. No visible cosmetic damage to the product.
Very good condition
Full function with minor signs of use, e.g. light scratches or edge bumps that you only notice on close inspection.
Good condition
Normally used and fully functional. E.g. one or more minor scratches, minor edge bumps, or similar.
Okay condition
Visibly used. Fully functional but with clear signs of use and wear, e.g. several scratches, several edge bumps, or minor marks on screen or glass, or similar.
Poor condition
May have some impaired function (e.g. reduced battery capacity) and/or extensive signs of use and wear, e.g. several or larger scratches, deeper edge bumps or dents, cracked screen or glass, or similar.
Furniture condition grading
For furniture, condition is often about overall impression, function, and visible signs of use. Minor marks can be perfectly fine — as long as function is intact.
Like new
Like new. Feels like a new product with full function. No visible cosmetic damage to the product.
Very good condition
Very good condition with only small signs of use visible. Full function with minor signs of use that are not centrally placed.
Good condition
Good condition with full function. Signs of use appear as normal, visible wear in noticeable places.
Okay condition
Visibly used with scratches or wear present. Full function. Scratches on hard surfaces are visible. Textile restoration is visible but function is not affected.
Poor condition
Poorer condition from heavy use. May have impaired function. Clearly visible scratches on hard furniture and restored textile damage that shows clearly.
